About the Company

Ariela Accountability program is a life coaching program focused on helping young women discover their unique strengths and apply them to improve every area of their lives, from career to finances to health and relationships. It accomplishes this mission by creating cohort-based communities that they coach over 3-6 months. Each month, they also invited guest speakers to teach the participants key concepts in different areas of life that they can immediately implement.

The Problem

As the program started to grow, the founders quickly exhausted their warm audience and decided to create promotional materials that they would use to promote their program on social media including social media graphics and typography-based motion graphics videos.
I was contracted to create a series of promotional videos using motion graphics.

The Process

At the end of each month, the founder would share the details for the next month's coaching theme or speaker, as well as the copy to be included in the video. Creatively, the founder was open to trying different styles for each video in order to keep their audience engaged, which gave me the space to continuously improve the designs and develop a style that was custom to the company.
For each video, the first step was to select the appropriate soundtrack that would set the tone for the video.
The next step would be to divide the script into "scenes" that read well on screen while still communicating the message clearly.
Then I added the typography and proceeded to animate it to match the soundtrack.
And finally, I added finishing touches like still animated images, and visual effects elements like lines and squiggles before adding any necessary transitions between scenes.

The Results

At the end of the project, we created a batch of 6 promotional videos that were used to encourage current members to continue attending their coaching sessions, as well as to promote the program to new members on social media. This example in particular got almost 12,500 views on Instagram.
