To celebrate Washingtonian’s 2019 Eat Great Cheap list, I launched a five-day Instagram countdown spotlighting 15 top affordable D.C. restaurants. Rather than follow the ranked list, I featured the most eye-catching dishes to maximize engagement, saving the #1 spot for the final reveal. Captions were playful and interactive, sparking conversation and encouraging guesses. The campaign averaged 800 likes and 35 comments per post and became a go-to resource for discovering great local eats.
