Font Poster

This font poster was a project that I was given the opportunity to work on in my sophomore year typography class. I had to pick a font from a list and create an 11 x 17 informational poster on it. After looking at many fonts, I decided on Clarendon. The old serif font intrigued me, and there was a lot of history on it. I learned that Clarendon is the font used on old-fashioned wooden blocks, so I decided to use this wooden texture as the background. Then ampersand was really interesting to me, so that became the main piece of the poster. I called out the typographical anatomy on the bottom of the poster and layered the text with the date it was created on the top. I had fun learning more about this font, and was pleased with the final product.
