Overview

Dominion Funding is a fintech trading platform that gives traders access to funded-account programs, performance challenges, account-management tools, and payout workflows.
I worked as a Senior Full-Stack Developer on the platform and its affiliate portal, building user-facing workflows, backend services, trading integrations, and operations tooling. The platform supported 12,000+ active users, while the affiliate portal supported 5,000+ affiliates. During this period, the business generated approximately $100,000 in monthly recurring revenue (MRR).

The product challenge

The platform needed to turn a complex set of trading-program rules, account states, payment events, and performance data into reliable workflows for traders and internal teams. It also needed secure financial flows, clear dashboards, trading-platform integrations, and an architecture that could support growing user activity.

What I built

Affiliate portal and lifecycle workflows

I led the frontend and backend development of Dominion Funding’s affiliate portal, including real-time tracking, payout-related workflows, and the systems needed to support more than 5,000 affiliates. I also contributed to trader onboarding, account lifecycle management, and admin workflows.

Trader dashboards and platform experience

I built responsive interfaces for users to monitor account performance, challenge progression, risk limits, trading history, and account settings. The work focused on making dense financial and trading data easier to understand and act on.

Backend systems and integrations

I developed backend services and REST APIs for authentication, authorization, account management, challenge workflows, payment processing, transaction tracking, and internal administration. I integrated third-party trading platforms, including MetaTrader 5 (MT5), to expand the platform’s core trading capabilities.

Trading rules and operational automation

I implemented automated workflows for trading-rule validation, objective tracking, account-status updates, and performance monitoring. This moved repeatable evaluation work into platform logic and gave operations teams more control through internal tools.

Reliability and security

I optimized performance and scalability across the portal and backend, worked with the security team to resolve critical vulnerabilities, and built safeguards around sensitive user and financial workflows.

Outcome

The work supported a fintech platform serving 12,000+ active users, an affiliate portal serving 5,000+ affiliates, and a business generating approximately $100,000 MRR at the time. It created more automated workflows for trading operations, account evaluation, payouts, and platform administration, while strengthening the system’s scalability, security, and integration capabilities.

Stack

Nuxt.js, Vue.js, Tailwind CSS, Node.js, Express.js, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, MetaTrader 5 (MT5), cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD.
