Following professional chess in real time across mobile, desktop, and web. I was one of the founding designers, taking the product from early concepts through launch.
ChessEver was built to make following live chess simpler. I helped shape the product from 0–1, covering the mobile apps, desktop experience, and web platform.
I worked across research, competitive analysis, product structure, UX/UI, visual design, prototyping, and iteration with engineers and stakeholders.
What Was Done
Designed the iOS and Android apps around live games, tournaments, standings, player profiles, statistics, head-to-head records, favorites, and game analysis.
Extended the experience to desktop for larger-screen tournament viewing and a deeper chess database experience.
How
I started with the core mobile experience, testing different flows and visual directions before extending the system across desktop and web. The goal was to keep everything familiar while giving each platform a clear purpose.
From Brief to Launch
Took the product from early concepts and research through high-fidelity design, testing, iteration, and handoff, working closely with engineers and the wider team to bring ChessEver to life.
