Pentaclay company deck: story, copy and slide design for our own sales deck

This is our own company deck, the one we send to B2B AI companies before a first call. We wrote the story and every word, and designed all 19 slides.
Client: Pentaclay (our own deck) · Type: Company and sales deck · What we did: Story, copy and slide design · Format: Web deck, exported to PDF · Year: 2026

About the deck

Pentaclay is a website studio for B2B AI companies that sell to enterprises. The deck explains who we are, what we make and how we work, in six parts: Who we are, What we do, How a project runs, Selected work, What clients say and Working with us.

The challenge

Buyers read a deck alone, usually between meetings, so every slide has to make its point without anyone presenting it.
No presenter in the room. A slide that needs a voice-over fails when it is forwarded to a colleague.
Claims need proof. One number without a source makes a buyer doubt every other slide.
Too much to say. Services, process, work, quotes and how to start all compete for space.
Mockups say nothing. Stock device frames don't show what we actually built.

What we did

One point per slide

Every slide has one headline that makes its point, such as “Websites enterprise buyers understand” and “From first call to live site”.
A contents slide lists the six sections with slide numbers, so a reader can jump to what they need.

Founder problems in their own words

One slide lists four problems founders bring to us: no website before launch, an AI-builder site that doesn't look ready for enterprise buyers, no time to write copy, and the need for a fixed price and date.
Each problem sits next to our answer, in one line.

Real screens and real dates

Four selected-work slides use real screens from Machine Football AI, Fronterra, NOCAP Sports and Freehold Wealth, each with what the site had to do.
A timeline slide compares three real projects: Fronterra in 6 days, Cills in 2 weeks and Machine Football AI in 8 weeks, with dates from our Contra project pages.

Proof a buyer can check

Proof slides use only numbers a buyer can check: Contra rating, reviews and hires.
Client quotes from NOCAP Sports and Comtel appear word for word.

One simple system

The same grid on every slide, three tinted colors to mark section openers, and the same footer throughout.
Built as a web deck, so it can be shared as a page or exported to PDF.

Scope

Included:
The story and order of the 19 slides
Every word on every slide
Slide design, built as a web deck and exported to PDF
Not included:
Investor content: this is a sales deck, not a fundraising deck
New project work: the selected-work slides reuse screens from sites we had already delivered

Results

19 slides in six sections, ready as a web deck and as a PDF.
Every number on the proof and timeline slides traces to a public source: our Contra profile and Contra project pages.
In use as our sales deck for B2B AI companies before a first call.

What we'd improve next

Add short screen recordings to the web version, so each selected-work slide shows the site moving, not only a still.
Make a short version of 6 to 8 slides for cold email, and keep the full deck for after the first call.
Add one named client quote next to each selected-work slide as more clients approve their quotes.
