SEO Stack is a B2B SaaS marketing platform with a large, established email list — but the emails weren't landing. Open rates were declining, clicks were minimal, and subscribers who'd signed up with real interest were quietly going cold.
What I did
Before writing any copy, I analysed subscriber behaviour to see what had actually resonated before and what hadn't. From that I set clear objectives — lift open rates, boost click-throughs, and shift how subscribers perceived the brand.
The copy itself was built around three things: subject lines written to spark real curiosity rather than clickbait or generic filler, benefit-led messaging that made the value of opening obvious immediately, and CTAs positioned to feel like a natural next step rather than a push — so clicks came from interest, not obligation.
I also built in performance tracking from day one, so results could be measured and the approach turned into something repeatable rather than a one-off win.
Result
38% engagement on the campaign, up from a declining baseline — a working framework SEO Stack can run again rather than a single lucky send.
