Avado Data Analysis Project

My partner and I were given a brief to come up with an Ai-based mobile app that would help people cook more often. We then had to use data to customise the most profitable, compelling and effective app to persuasively pitch to successful business investors called "The Bisons."

To begin with me and my partner filtered through the data we were provided on Excel to prepare it for the ETL process.  We uploaded it to Power Query where we cleansed the data. We replaced nulls, created conditional columns, (e.g., Age Label), removed duplicated, fixed formatting issues and changed incorrect data types (e.g., Region)

We thenloaded our data to Power Bi where we created significant relationships and adjusted non-relevant ones. Once completed, we began to build visuals that would help us answer the data-based questions on our project brief; questions involving demand, marketing, value proposition etc.

The visuals allowed us to gain insight and make data driven decisions (on target segment, marketing, branding and more) to customise the most profitable and efficient Ai-based nutritional app and come up with a compelling pitch.

There were data quality issues because it was survey-based but were we able to refine/clean it and make it easier to read.

My partner and I completed this under limited time contraint, considering the rest our group chose not to participate.

We learned how to use data to make informed decisions and evidence-based choices about a product. We understand how incorprating data anlytics can help produce a product that aligns with user expectations, optimises marketing efforts, stays competitive and is a pioneer for future trends. With our pitch, my partner and I were able to win Bison's over with our data analytic skills, market research skills and presentation skills.
