About Teacher Training

In this project, we set out to understand the real struggles teachers face in classrooms, balancing workload, managing students, and still trying to make learning effective. We realized that many teachers were doing their best, but the typical classroom culture often left little room for open communication, critical thinking, or genuine connection with students.

Our goal was to create something that not only supported teachers in becoming more confident and effective, but also helped students feel engaged, seen, and safe. We wanted to break the ice between teachers and students, moving beyond traditional norms and build a space where feedback, collaboration, and curiosity could thrive.

I had the chance to work closely with some incredibly talented scriptwriters and designers. It was a true team effort, and I’m proud to have played a creative role in bringing this vision to life. Being entrusted as the Lead Animator on this project was a huge privilege. It allowed me to shape the visual storytelling in a way that truly supported the message and impact we were aiming for.

Mixed Media Approach & My Role as Footage Director

To keep the content engaging and relatable, we used a mixed format in our videos a blend of motion graphics, on-screen visuals, and live-action footage. This approach allowed us to explain concepts clearly while also showcasing real classroom scenarios to help teachers visualize how the strategies could be applied in practice.​​​​​​​

I had the opportunity to take on the role of Footage Director, and honestly, it was a thrill to bring those scripts to life. From planning the shots to guiding the energy on set, it was a creatively fulfilling experience that challenged and inspired me throughout.

We were lucky to have the support of several schools that opened their classrooms and allowed us to work with their students for a day. A huge thank you to all of them, this project wouldn’t have been possible without their openness and trust.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Working with students from different cultural and educational backgrounds, along with such a dedicated and talented team, made the entire experience incredibly special. Here are a few behind-the-scenes glimpses from our journey.

Animation Style & Creative Direction

Since our audience was primarily teachers, we began by conducting a small survey to guide our decisions on content tone, delivery style, and visual approach. The feedback helped us design animations that were both practical and easy to follow by keeping things simple, clear, and never too overwhelming.​​​​​​​

The overall animation style was kept minimal and focused, aligning with our goal of reducing distractions while enhancing understanding. That said, we made sure to sneak in creative elements wherever the scene allowed for it; playing with transitions, movement, and visual metaphors when it added value to the storytelling.

It was a fun challenge to strike that balance, and it pushed me creatively as well. Here are a few glimpses from the project that reflect that blend of simplicity and creativity.

Making a Difference: The Real-World Impact

The success of this project went far beyond the screen. Our team conducted multiple teacher training sessions across various schools, and the response was overwhelmingly positive. Teachers not only engaged wholeheartedly in the activities and scenario-based problem-solving, but many also shared that they genuinely needed something like this. They were relieved and excited to finally see a course that spoke directly to their challenges and growth as educators.​​​​​​​

The impact didn’t stop there. A well-renowned institution also partnered with us to officially offer this course to teachers validating the need and value of the work we put in.

It’s been a lightning experience being part of something so meaningful. I feel incredibly lucky to have experienced it first-hand, and I hope you enjoyed exploring this case study as much as I enjoyed being part of its journey.
