Learnr is an ultimate mobile app that helps users find, compare, and book driving instructors straight from their smartphone.

Our client's goal was to try out a new system on a local, manually coordinated service in Manchester and if successful, turn it into a scalable product that can grow to other cities.

So we designed and built an MVP-ready app that makes booking driving lessons easier for learners and simpler to manage for instructors.

We build the core app flow around a familiar marketplace pattern, close to apps like Uber.

Based on the learner’s personal preferences, the app suggests the best instructor to make the whole experience comfortable.

The booking flow is built for flexibility: learners can either book lessons or subscribe to a lesson package.

We built in a stronger sense of safety by adding a dedicated instructor profile tab with full personal details.

We designed the app with accessibility in mind, especially for the 40+ user group that needs less cognitive load, stripping away extra noise.

We used Google Maps API for location-based instructor discovery and Stripe for secure checkout. Firebase Cloud Messaging handled real-time booking updates and reminders, helping both instructors and learners stay in sync.

To speed up MVP delivery, we also built a reusable component system.

The result is a product experience that makes booking driving lessons clear, fast & safe.
