Día de Los Muertos | Holiday Card Design

Celebrated each November, Día de Los Muertos brings families together to welcome back the souls of deceased relatives for one night.

My card focuses on the experience these souls encounter when crossing back into the human world, paying particular attention to the unique flower of the occasion.

Beautiful intricate altars are set as “offerings” arranged with candles and flowers to welcome family members.

Marigolds, the bright orange flower of the holiday, helps attract souls to the altar and lead the way home.
