Zaba Therapy specializes in Applied Behavioral Analysis Therapy which is a scientifically validated approach used to improve socially significant behaviors in individuals, particularly those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Their services consist of early intensive behavioral intervention, home based services and school consultation. To expand their outreach and acquire more clients, Zaba Therapy sought out a full redesign of their existing website.

The primary objective was to modernize their existing website to improve customer engagement. This involved redesigning the service cards, standardizing typography and color schemes, and developing more fluid components for improved content presentation.

Before the redesign, the client's website had several issues that negatively impacted both user experience and functionality. The original site lacked visual coherence, with inconsistent shades of blue leading to confusion for the user. The specific challenges that were addressed were:

Unclear Call-To-Actions (CTAs): The original CTA buttons did not align with the business's primary objective of encouraging visitors to sign up for services. Instead of guiding users towards registration, the CTAs were focused on providing information about services without motivating users to take the next step and sign up

Accessibility: The initial design choices for color and typography negatively affected the site's accessibility. Inadequate contrast between text and background colors of the service cards made it difficult for all users to easily read and understand the content, affecting the overall usability of the site.

Outdated Cards: The website's service cards were outdated, featuring a design that lacked visual appeal and pour usability. These cards made it difficult for users to quickly understand and engage with the content due to choice of colors for the font. A modern update was necessary to enhance user interaction and align the visual elements with the overall site design.

Poor Site Structure: The original website structure lacked a clear and logical flow, as it immediately presented information about the services offered without first introducing the company to visitors. This approach missed an essential step in building trust and establishing the brand’s identity before discussing services.

To address the site’s issues, a complete redesign was essential. The new design was carefully crafted to resonate with the business's target audience, ensuring that every element of the site aligns with their needs and expectations.

The site structure was reimagined to build trust between visitors and the company, providing a seamless journey from introduction to conversion. Clear and concise service descriptions, along with strategically placed call-to-action buttons, were integrated to guide users effortlessly toward signing up, ensuring that the site not only informs but actively encourages engagement from those seeking the services offered. By improving both aesthetics and functionality, the redesign successfully transformed the site into a more user-friendly, trustworthy, and goal-oriented platform.

Designing this website and witnessing its development from concept to completion was an invaluable experience that introduced me to a profession I had previously known little about. This project deepened my understanding of how design can serve a critical, real-world purpose. The opportunity to enhance a website that aids parents in navigating the process of securing help for their children was rewarding. Knowing that this design could play a role in improving the lives of families brings me immense joy and reinforces the powerful impact that thoughtful design can have on the world.
