PROJECT OVERVIEW
CAMAai is the world's first AI-native Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal (CAMA) platform, built for county assessors across the United States. Unlike legacy systems that bolt AI onto 30-year-old codebases, CAMAai was architected with intelligence embedded at every layer - from intelligent data collection and automated deed extraction, to real-time IAAO compliance monitoring and federated learning across jurisdictions.
As the developer on this project, I was responsible for designing and building the complete Framer-based marketing website and contributing to front-end architecture decisions that communicate CAMAai's complex technical capabilities to a non-technical government audience.
KEY RESULTS
60%+ reduction in manual review time for county assessors
3× faster assessment workflows through AI-native automation
1,000+ jurisdictions supported through the platform's consulting and implementation backbone
THE CHALLENGE
County assessors across the US are locked into outdated CAMA platforms built in the 1980s and 90s. These legacy desktop applications create serious operational and compliance problems:
Manual, time-consuming workflows requiring excessive staff hours for routine data tasks
Increasing compliance and audit risk due to no real-time IAAO monitoring
Limited or no mobile/field support, preventing assessors from working efficiently on-site
Inconsistent valuation quality across jurisdictions due to siloed, non-communicating data systems
No AI-assisted tooling - decisions made without machine-driven insights or anomaly detection
The core technical challenge was not just building another CAMA tool - it was architecting a system where AI is the foundation, not a feature add-on. Every workflow, from deed ingestion to IAAO ratio compliance, needed to be reimagined with intelligence built in natively.
MY ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
I served as the Framer developer and front-end lead, responsible for translating a complex AI-native SaaS product into a clear, high-converting web presence that speaks directly to government decision-makers.
1. Framer Website Development Built the complete CAMAai marketing site on Framer - fully responsive, high-performance, and visually rich. Designed and implemented a custom component architecture to support complex interactive sections.
2. UI/UX Design Implementation Translated product wireframes and brand guidelines into fully coded Framer pages. Developed the custom hero section with animated counters for Years of CAMA Expertise, System Integrations Completed, and Counties Served.
3. AI Feature Storytelling & Developer Handoff Collaborated with the product team to accurately represent AI/ML features - federated learning, anomaly detection, smart deed handling - in clear visual language for a non-technical audience.
4. Performance & SEO Optimization Optimized the Framer site for Core Web Vitals - fast LCP, minimal CLS, optimized FID. Implemented structured metadata and semantic HTML for GovTech SEO targeting. Configured image optimization and lazy loading for all media assets.
TECH STACK
Frontend: React.js, Tailwind CSS, Mobile-First Responsive Design
Builder: Framer (Marketing Site & Landing Pages)
Backend: Node.js / Python, RESTful APIs, Microservices Architecture
AI / ML: Federated Learning, Machine Learning Anomaly Detection, NLP for Deed Extraction
Cloud: Cloud-Native Infrastructure, Scalable & Secure Data Pipelines
Compliance: Configurable Rules Engine, IAAO Standards Automation
Integration: GIS Systems, Legacy CAMA Data Migration, Aerial/Satellite Imagery APIs
DEVELOPMENT PROCESS
Phase 1 - Discovery & Architecture Worked closely with the founder to understand the deep domain expertise behind CAMAai. This included reviewing IAAO compliance standards, state-specific assessment workflows, and the technical differentiators that separate CAMAai from incumbent vendors like Tyler Technologies and Aumentum.
Phase 2 - Design System & Component Build Established the full Framer design system - typography scale, color palette, spacing tokens, and reusable component library. Built all page sections iteratively, starting with the hero and core value proposition, then moving through problem/solution framing, feature showcases, how-it-works flows, and social proof sections.
Phase 3 - Content Integration & Interactivity Integrated all written content, imagery, and interactive elements. This included building the animated counter components, the feature card carousel, the step-by-step workflow visualizations, and the state-specific capability grids.
Phase 4 - QA, Performance & Launch Conducted full cross-browser and cross-device QA. Ran Lighthouse audits and resolved all performance bottlenecks. Configured the pilot program CTA flow and contact form integrations. Delivered a site optimized for the specific audience of county assessors and government procurement teams.
