Project Title:
Optimizing Cross-Functional Processes for Marketing and Operations
Objective:
Improve and optimize advertising processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness through better coordination between marketing and operations teams.
Background:
The client experienced issues with their advertising processes, including delays in ad launches, incomplete project information affecting targeting, and frequent pausing and relaunching of ads, which hindered overall campaign effectiveness.
My Role:
Identified and created a process map for inefficient advertising procedures.
Prioritized and implemented improvements based on expected impact.
Integrated the marketing team into the existing Operations PM platform (monday.com).
Implemented automated email notifications for project milestones using monday.com automations.
Introduced a special form for comprehensive data collection at the proposal stage, enhancing ad targeting accuracy.
Conducted analysis and forecasting based on historical data to optimize ad scheduling and targeting.
Results:
Early Campaign Launches: Ads were launched 48+ hours earlier, attracting experts before project commencement, leading to an increase in early engagement.
Increased ROI: Improved ad targeting led to a higher return on investment. The firm reduced ad spend by 20% due to better initial targeting and decreased need for frequent adjustments.
Faster Project Completion: Managed to close projects 2-3 days (10-20%) faster as we reached the needed amount of data earlier with properly functioning campaigns from day one.
Profitable Ad Campaigns: Continuous ad campaigns targeting prequalified segments, such as IT professionals, proved more profitable and sustained recruitment.
Improved Processes: Streamlined processes with fewer steps enhanced transparency and visibility, improving team collaboration and overall awareness.
Lessons Learned:
Continuous Improvement: Regular reviews of process changes would have allowed for more rapid adjustments and refinements.
Stakeholder Engagement: Earlier engagement with all stakeholders might have accelerated buy-in and streamlined implementation.
