Not every motion design project needs to look like a showreel.
Sometimes the hardest part is actually keeping things simple.
This was exactly the case with my latest project for Fox Carriers — a 5.35-minute training video for drivers.
There was a lot of information to explain: onboarding, the LoadRex app, loads, tracking, communication, documents, company rules, payments, and more.
From the beginning, we agreed with the client that this video didn’t need complex transitions, flashy effects, or trendy animation just for the sake of it.
The audience needed something different: clear, engaging, easy to follow, and easy to remember.
So the focus was on straightforward visual storytelling, simple 2D animation, illustrations, UI elements, and AI-generated visuals that were refined and brought into one consistent style.
For a 30-second promo, you can impress the viewer.
For a 5.35-minute training video, you need to keep them watching — and make sure they actually understand what you’re showing them.
Different goal. Different approach.
Here’s the final result 👇
