Hootsuite Inbox - UX design and UX research

Hootsuite inbox enables customers to send messages from multiple social media networks in the same inbox. For my Hootsuite product design internship from January to September 2019, I worked on the social media filters and creating a new on boarding experience for users who were new to inbox. The project involved collaboration with the product design teams, user researchers, and product managers. This project involved collaboration with our design systems team in order to achieve consistency in visual patterns and interactions across the product.

- Performed a comprehensive audit of the previous research conducted by the user research team to understand the main user persona's of Hootsuite Inbox and what they would need. - Conducted user research on what customer's current limitations in understanding inbox were. Conducted user testing on the new on-boarding process that I created. - Worked with engineers to ensure feasibility of implementation. - Prototyped extensively and presented explorations to team members - Prepared a script and prototype for testing design explorations with a small group of users, which informed us about their expectations and mental models in regards to using Inbox as a tool
