🌍 About The Project

As part of the partnership with Global Health Focus (GHF), the Center of Research and Community Service Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta (LPPM UPNVJ) held a week of global health event consisting of workshops and seminar. GHF is a nonprofit global health organisation based in London, UK and this was GHF's first-ever collaboration with Indonesian institution with a theme concerning health, environment, and disaster.

🌍 My Responsibility

In this project, I was assigned to be a Liaison Officer which was basically a bridge between GHF and LPPM UPNVJ in arranging their partnership to establish a Centre of Excellence for Emergency Preparedness in UPNVJ. I was given the responsibility to handle this project because I was considered having more understanding and familiar with health and environmental issues.
Not only that, I was also acted as Event Organiser as well as handling the publication and promotion including designing the event posters. I worked on the designs entirely on Adobe Express (formerly, Adobe Spark) with some vectors and illustrations taken from external free copyright sources or simply Google.
The first event was a workshop on research and paper writing open for lecturers and academics in UPNVJ. I developed the design using a template from Adobe Express library and adjusted it as needed.
For the seminar, I designed the poster starting completely from scratch without using any template from the design tool. I tried to make it simple —but still elegant, since it's the main event and also would be displayed on the venue's big screen— on account of plenty of information must be included. The seminar was open for public and raised the issue of climate change, natural disasters and its impact on human's health.
Paused by one day public holiday, the last two days was a workshop on scientific writing and leadership for UPNVJ students called Global Health Emerging Leadership Program. I developed the design using the same template as the first workshop only that I changed the color palette.

🌍 Challenge

There was no significant obstacles or problem in designing process. There were only few challenges normally encountered by designer such as partner's demands/requests, ever changing speakers, and some other minor adjustments.
