Pete’s Story — The Tradition Continues

What began as one founder’s story soon became a tradition. It became a way to celebrate the people who shaped PTS not just through their work, but through their personality, passions, and legacy.
For Pete, the artwork centres on a scene that feels unmistakably him. At its heart sits a London tea shop, warm and welcoming, the main focus of the piece and a quiet tribute to his love of tea and good conversation.
Behind it, the river flows the River Thames. Along the water’s edge rise the landmarks that defined his PTS career: Battersea, the Gherkin, and the Shard, each one representing a key project or place that shaped his years with the company. In the foreground, life unfolds with personal meaning.
The tea shop carries his wife’s name, grounding the illustration in his life beyond work and the partnership behind every milestone. A musician playing guitar performs nearby, a reflection of Pete’s creative rhythm and his time spent in a band.
Hints of his garden bloom quietly at the edges. Above, a small plane crosses the sky, a nod to his love of flying. Hidden within the details are subtle references to Terry Pratchett, his favourite author.
Pete’s illustration feels calm but full of life, a moment between work and home, art and memory.
It is more than a portrait. It is a celebration of a man whose story, like the company’s, continues to move forward.
