PetCabbie is a mobile app that reimagines how pet owners manage daily care, boarding, and transport — connecting them with reliable, verified caretakers. My role was to design an experience that built trust, transparency, and emotional connection, turning a functional service into a community of care.
The project began with in-depth user research and persona development, revealing a key insight: pet owners don’t just need convenience — they need confidence. Many users were hesitant to leave their pets with someone new, so the interface had to communicate warmth, reliability, and professionalism from the very first screen.
I crafted a trust-centered onboarding flow that introduces the “Cabbie” (caretaker) profile upfront, allowing users to view qualifications, reviews, and messaging options before booking. This interaction design choice significantly improved engagement by creating a sense of safety and authenticity.
Using Figma and a scalable component-based system, I built a clean, friendly, and intuitive UI. Soft color palettes, playful iconography, and structured layouts made the app approachable yet organized. Auto layout and variables ensured scalability across mobile and tablet screens, preparing the design for seamless development handoff.
The final prototype delivered a polished, human-first experience — balancing empathy and efficiency. PetCabbie doesn’t just help users book pet care; it strengthens the emotional bond between pet owners and caretakers, creating a brand built on trust and love.
