The Vision
Designing social media ads for LEXI IPL, a beauty brand specializing in at-home IPL hair removal, was all about creating visuals that resonate, engage, and ultimately convert. These ads needed to capture attention quickly, communicate benefits clearly, and convey a sense of trust and efficacy. The objective was to design a cohesive series that speaks directly to LEXI’s target audience—beauty enthusiasts seeking reliable, at-home hair removal solutions.
Design Approach
Working with Figma and Adobe XD, I crafted a series of ad visuals that balanced aesthetic appeal with strategic messaging. Each ad was tailored to highlight key selling points such as "FDA Approved," "Permanent Results," and "Hair-Free in 8 Weeks," reinforcing the brand's promise with confidence and clarity.
Bold Typography for Impact I used bold, clear typography to make each key message stand out at a glance. Words like "Permanent Hair Removal," "Pain-Free," and "Hair Free for Life" are positioned as powerful, quick-to-read statements that align with the brand's promise of long-term results.
Whimsical but Professional Imagery The images evoke a sense of luxury and effectiveness, blending soft, feminine tones with product shots that highlight the LEXI IPL device. This approach maintains a professional tone while appealing to the beauty industry’s aesthetics, ensuring the ads feel both approachable and premium.
Trust-Building Elements To enhance credibility, I integrated elements such as star ratings (4.8/5 stars from 70,000+ reviews) and testimonials. This social proof reinforces trust, making the brand feel both well-loved and effective to potential customers.
Clear, Compelling CTAs Each ad features a call-to-action button designed to stand out against the imagery, such as "Start Flashing" or "Get Hair-Free." These CTAs encourage immediate action, aiming to turn interest into conversions.
Process Highlights
I began by sketching layout ideas to ensure each ad would maintain visual consistency while highlighting different product benefits. Using Figma and Adobe XD allowed me to experiment with typography, imagery, and icon placement to find the most visually appealing and informative balance.
Content Hierarchy: The design prioritizes important information—headline benefits at the top, social proof near the bottom, and the CTA button prominently placed.
Color Consistency: I used LEXI’s brand colors—primarily purples and pinks—to create a unified look across all ads, enhancing brand recognition.
A/B Testing Variants: I created multiple versions of each ad to test different messaging and layout options, ensuring we could measure what resonated best with the target audience.
The Result
The finished ads present LEXI IPL as a reliable, effective, and desirable beauty product. They’re eye-catching, informative, and designed to convert, balancing a fun beauty aesthetic with the reassurance of proven results.
