Who is HTP?
Helen Tran, a talented photographer in her mid-twenties, sought to elevate her online presence through a custom-designed website that mirrored the unique dual nature of her services. Her work spans traditional photography services such as weddings, graduations, and maternity shoots, as well as more intimate boudoir sessions.
Here's The Rundown
The challenge was to craft a digital space that could seamlessly encapsulate the "light" and "dark" aspects of her work, reflecting her body-positive, light, and airy style while appealing to a feminine-focused audience. Here was the proposal:
Showcase Dual Photography Offerings: Create a unified platform that elegantly displays Helen's range of photography services without compromising the distinctiveness of each.
Reflect Personal Style and Branding: Incorporate Helen's elegant muted color palette and dynamic style to enhance her brand identity.
Enhance User Experience: Implement a user-friendly interface with innovative features such as a light/dark toggle to cater to diverse client needs.
Optimize for Engagement: Design a website that encourages exploration, engagement, and conversion for potential clients.
The Vibe
Helen has a phenomenal eye. The website's design centered around Helen's preferred muted color palette, enhancing the elegant and feminine appeal of her brand.
To kick off, we got Helen onboarded into our Notion-based client portal and created an art direction document for her to both guide the design and clarify the approach of her branding.
The Approach
We wanted to create a website that not only showcased Helen's portfolio in a visually compelling manner but also provided an intuitive and seamless user experience, enabling clients to easily navigate between the "light" and "dark" sides of her work.
This bespoke site was designed to resonate with Helen's target audience, embodying her unique artistic vision and business goals.
The design also incorporated elements that reflected Helen's personal style and her commitment to celebrating the feminine form in a light, airy, and body-positive manner.

We also used Photoshop to create a transparent photo effect for the homepage hero section to showcase Helen's portrait photo on top of transparent text.
