My role

As a project manager, I collaborated with Creative Director, Gabriela Rodriguez, and Label Manager, Jacob Lapidus, to create a groundbreaking initiative. The first-ever mood-based songwriting competition, designed to capture a unique cultural moment and showcase the feelings of a new generation of emerging artists.

The Vision

In this age of unprecedented artistic expression, Disrupción Records partnered with tastemakers and industry trailblazers to provide independent songwriters with the tools and knowledge necessary to shape their artistry and careers actively.
With a team consisting of artists and professionals from over 20 countries, we embraced a diverse range of cultural perspectives to explore new and inventive concepts. Our aim was to celebrate the distinctive value of various backgrounds and cultures, and this philosophy was integral to this project's success.

The concept

We presented four moods in the competition with a word from another language with no direct English translation. This initiative aimed to highlight exceptional expression and songcraft, paving the way for the next wave of groundbreaking music creators.
