Overview

This short 3D animation was created for a jewelry design contest. While the theme wasn’t predefined, I decided to craft a piece inspired by the Star Wars universe, blending the Sith Lords’ aesthetics with the cinematic motion of Star Destroyers. The result is a bold, metallic pendant that merges fine jewelry with sci-fi symbolism.

Goal

The goal was to design and animate a cinematic 3D jewelry piece that captures the energy, mystery, and authority of the Sith. I wanted the pendant to feel like both a collectible and an artifact, something that could exist in the real world but also belong to the Star Wars universe.

Challenges

The primary challenge of this project was an incredibly tight 4-day production window from initial concept to final cinematic render. Executing detailed hard-surface modeling, complex metallic texturing, lighting, and sound design under such a strict deadline required an absolute focus on workflow efficiency.

Solutions / Outcome

I utilized an agile prototyping workflow, adapting and refining structural geometric concepts to rapidly build out the complex, aggressive lines of the pendant. To maximize visual impact within the timeframe, I structured the animation into three highly deliberate cinematic shots: a high-contrast atmosphere reveal, a dramatic "fly-by" sequence inspired by sci-fi cinema, and a smooth 360-degree showcase highlighting the metallic reflections and fine craftsmanship.
