Star Wars Inspired 3D Jewelry Animation

Overview

This short 3D animation was created for a jewelry design contest. While the theme wasn’t predefined, I decided to craft a piece inspired by the Star Wars universe, blending the Sith Lords’ aesthetics with the cinematic motion of Star Destroyers. The result is a bold, metallic pendant that merges fine jewelry with sci-fi symbolism.

Goal

The goal was to design and animate a cinematic 3D jewelry piece that captures the energy, mystery, and authority of the Sith. I wanted the pendant to feel like both a collectible and an artifact, something that could exist in the real world but also belong to the Star Wars universe.

Challenges

The biggest challenge was time. The entire project, from concept to final render, had to be completed in less than four days. To make it possible, I reused and reimagined a previous concept I had created spontaneously and adapted it into a jewelry design. Balancing detailed modeling, texturing, lighting, shot development, and sound design under such a short deadline was an intense but rewarding exercise.

Solutions / Outcome

I focused on building a strong atmosphere through lighting, composition, and sound. The animation was divided into three cinematic shots: a dramatic reveal of the pendant, a “fly-by” inspired by Star Destroyers, and a final rotating showcase that highlights its power and elegance.
