The Back Porch mission 📖

Back Porch is more than a bookstore—it's a space to log off and lean into your community. We believe stories are what bind us together. Our mission is to foster real, human connections through a mutual love of books and storytelling. Stop by for a handpicked recommendation from one of our staff members, or join us for a monthly book club or zine-making workshop.

Process 💭

Branded in collaboration with designer Kayley Ulett, Back Porch is a bookstore rooted in reality. This project was inspired by our desire to unplug and connect with other creatives and book lovers. Back Porch is our dream "third space"—somewhere far removed from algorithms, AI, and technology.
This idea is reflected in every aspect of the branding, including website content, social media posts, sample events, and our analog book recommendation form (inspired by sandwich shop order forms).
