Finding qualified Chartered Accountants (or CS/CMA) is challenging, and the more popular professionals are pretty expensive.
Business owners need an easy yet effective way to find accountants for their business needs at more affordable rates.

Amid the pandemic's aftermath, the market was ripe for digital transformation. Fortunate to be part of this pivotal moment, I embarked on a journey to design a mobile application for a dynamic listing platform.

To respect the terms of my non-disclosure agreement, I've excluded and obscured any sensitive information in this case study. The content presented here solely represents my views and does not necessarily represent the opinions of Flappify(client) or Profyn(owner).

Project Duration

Project Objective –

Create a highly polished, market-ready prototype of an app that connects CA/CMA professionals with business owners seeking reliable accounting services efficiently.

Minimum Viable Features

Business owners need a platform to list jobs that require expertise from financial professionals.
Financial professionals, including CAs, CSs, CMAs, and others, should be able to find and apply for these job listings.
To ensure competitive pricing for both parties, the platform will incorporate a bidding system.
To facilitate a clear and effective bidding process, the platform will include feedback and messaging features.

Simplifying the Creation of a New Project

1. Project Information Entry: Customers are guided through a series of steps to *provide all necessary information*.
This includes specifying the project title, a detailed description, the required expertise, deadlines, etc.
2. Relevant Document Upload: Additionally, customers have the option to upload relevant documents that financial professionals might need to fully understand the project's requirements.
This step ensures that all pertinent information is available from the start, minimizing the need for follow-up questions and clarifications.
1. Verification: After entering all the necessary details, customers proceed to the verification phase. Here, they review the provided information to ensure it is accurate and complete.
This includes checking that all required fields are filled out and that any uploaded documents are relevant and clear.
The verification step is crucial as it helps prevent any misunderstandings or miscommunications that could arise later in the process. Ensuring the information's accuracy at this stage saves time and builds trust with potential bidders.

Smoothing out the experience of Ending an active Project

Once the project requirements have been satisfied, either the customer or the professional can formally end the project.
This process ensures that all compensation is cleared and both parties acknowledge the completion of the work.
Clear and transparent steps are provided to guide users through this closure, confirming that all financial obligations have been met and that the project is officially concluded.

Cancelling a Project

In certain situations, both parties may need to cancel an ongoing or inactive project.
Reasons for cancellation could include issues such as the professional taking too long to complete tasks, the project no longer being needed, dissatisfaction with the quality of work, or the client failing to pay the agreed amount. These scenarios are considered edge cases and require carefully designed communication processes to ensure smooth experiences.
To handle cancellations, the platform provides clear guidelines and options. Both customers and professionals can initiate a cancellation, and the system supports documenting the reasons for the cancellation to maintain transparency.
Users are guided through a straightforward process to address any outstanding issues, ensuring that both parties are informed and any potential disputes are minimized.
