Who is Stikwood?

Stikwood is an e-commerce brand that pioneered the first peel-and-stick wall and ceiling planks in 2012. This brand was created by a successful woodworking entrepreneur with a passion for all things wood and delivering a great quality product.

They launched their product into a blue ocean with very little competition becoming very well known after working with WeWork. 

Over time, their products got knocked off, more competition entered the space and they began to lose both organic traffic and market share to these competitors.

Stikwood hired us to turn this trend around and position them as the go-to authority for peel and stick wall planks.

Keyword Research - Identified most profitable products and estimated number of links needed to improve rankings. Went through all blog posts to identify which posts to optimize, which to redirect to improve crawl budget.

On-Page SEO - We improved the user experience of the main menu, added collection pages, SCHEMA to pages, META tags and internal linking structure

Content Strategy - We planned out a 4 page per month plan that prioritized commercial pages and then moved onto blog posts that would drive awareness of the brand's products and how they were used

Off-Page / Backlinks - built high-quality links to specific pages and posts to elevate the rank of the main keyword and number of keywords the site ranked for.

We took on the project in August of 2022 and completed the project in February 2024 for a period of 16 months. We were able to achieve the following:

225% increase in organic search engine traffic

60.33% increase in revenue from search engines

Increased total number of keywords the site ranked for on the first two pages from 1,171 to 3,995 by 241%

Increased number of keywords ranking on first page 1-3 from 329 to 1,016 by 208%

Added 80 new pages of content to the site by way of collection pages and blog posts
