Project Overview: WATCHDOG is a case study aimed at developing solutions to empower children with epilepsy in managing their self-care. The platform focuses on improving their independence and safety, ensuring that they have the tools and support needed for better health management.
Challenges Addressed: Children with epilepsy often face significant challenges in managing their condition independently. The lack of user-friendly, supportive tools can lead to increased dependence on caregivers, limiting their ability to be self-sufficient. WATCHDOG tackles this issue by offering an intuitive and engaging design tailored to children’s needs.
Features:
Customizable reminders for medication and doctor appointments
Emergency contact alerts and real-time notifications for caregivers
Easy-to-use interface with visual aids designed for children
Data tracking for seizures and health progress
Impact: WATCHDOG has the potential to significantly enhance the quality of life for children with epilepsy by promoting independence and providing peace of mind to both children and their families. The platform has been designed with empathy and precision to address specific needs in pediatric care.
Technology Stack: Developed using Figma for UI/UX design, InVision for prototyping, and UsabilityHub for user feedback to ensure maximum usability.
My Role: As the lead Product Designer and UI Designer, I was responsible for designing a simple yet functional interface that would resonate with children and their families. I worked closely with medical professionals to ensure that the solution was both user-friendly and medically sound. My focus was to make the platform as intuitive as possible while maintaining high accessibility standards.
