To enhance the organization's working capital, I developed two key metrics—Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and Days Payables Outstanding (DPO)—using unstructured financial data. I conducted a historical analysis of these metrics, segmented by department, product and service categories, and customer groups. This detailed analysis pinpointed areas of concern for the senior management team to address and facilitated the establishment of clear targets for both DSO and DPO. Additionally, the development of a new dashboard enabled real-time tracking, resulting in a 15-day reduction in DSO and a 12-day increase in DPO, significantly improving cash flow management.
