Web AR Campaign: SoulBites

SoulBites works to produce vegan fitness food that is superior to animal alternatives in every way, ie better bioavailability, micro & macronutrients, more taste, and particularly sustainability. Out of love for nature, the environment is very important to us and we do without large plastic cans with long lists of ingredients.
The SoulBites Banana Bar provides you with quickly available energy and provides you with a complete amino acid profile (rice, hemp & pea protein).In addition, you can save fresh bananas with each bar, which would otherwise be sorted out due to their appearance.
The Company was looking for an innovative way to market their sustainable protein bars which would help the immersive propagation of the product. The whole project was a proof of concept for testing the AR marketing for their product launch. During the ideation process, three requirements were put forth viz:
3D AR mascot on top of the product packaging.
A banana crown/wreath filter for social media.
3D product showcase for the website.

3D model Workflow( 3d mascot ):

Being a POC the requirement for the mascot was basic and did not require creating complex structure and rigging or rig controls.

Added the final touches to the model with respect to texturing and voila a simple yet intriguing mascot was thus designed.
3D model Workflow( 3D crown/wreath ):
A lot of designs design boards were produced for the creation of the banana crown/wreath the whole idea behind the wreath was to produce a filter that is wearable as an accessory yet has the novelty of a design not dependent on the banana being a fruit.

AR workflow:
The 3 requirements were split into two separate campaigns,
Desktop AR ( includes banana wreath & product showcase )
Mobile AR (3D mascot on top of product packaging using image tracking )
The 3D aspects were configured using Blender and exported as a .glb file for size efficiency and best compatibility with major browsers.
The Augmented Reality experience was developed using A-frame.
The project was completed within the deadline and was tested on Android and IOS devices.
