The BAYADA White Shoes Symposium is a one-day educational event steeped in organizational culture and tradition. This prestigious clinical leadership symposium features renowned subject matter experts who share their expertise on some of the most important issues in healthcare today. Clinical leaders from around the globe gather for this annual opportunity to enjoy camaraderie, professional education, and recognition for the essential work they do to lead BAYADA and provide excellence in home health care. Jennifer has a talent for bringing people together to achieve huge goals. I engaged with Jennifer to fill the role of strategic project manager for a complex cross-division event long overdue for transformation. I was impressed with Jennifer's grace under fire and her ability to get people on board as a team -- even when folks initially had differing opinions on that vision. The Need

A thoughtful project manager was needed to forge an alliance between the clinical leadership team and marketing teams at BAYADA to make an annual event into a signature showcase symposium so that all stakeholders see clear value propositions. This project leader was tasked with ensuring BAYADA’s overarching strategic mission was driving the marketing plan of the event while success was measured by reaching key stakeholder audiences’ objectives for the event.

The Result

I created a strategic and actionable marketing plan for the event with a 8-month calendar of targeted campaigns including (but not limited to):

Renaming and expanded positioning of the White Shoes event;

Pre-event internal rebranding and promotional campaigns;

External event promotion and public relations strategies before and during the event;

Traditionally provided internal communications support throughout the project;

Post-event momentum campaigns; and, finally,

Marketing research and knowledge transfer for future event growth

I used collaborative leadership as a senior project manager to implement the strategic marketing plan’s external and internal marketing programs with clear and positive direction of the existing marketing and design teams at BAYADA and external resources as required.

I successfully managed an improved, strategically-aligned budget (from previous years) that grows the historical event marketing budget (communications support only) to expand and to include external initiatives and internal change communication support.
