🔍 Project Overview
A self-service kiosk interface designed for physical retail and hospitality environments. The project covers the complete touchscreen experience: product browsing, category navigation, item customization, and checkout.
⚡ The Challenge
Kiosk interfaces operate under unique constraints. Users are standing, often in a hurry, interacting with a vertical touchscreen in a public space. There's no mouse precision, no keyboard, and no second chance to explain the UI. Every tap needs to feel obvious.
🎯 Design Approach
Touch-first interaction model. All tap targets are generously sized. Navigation relies on large category cards and visual product tiles rather than text-heavy menus. The interface assumes finger input on a vertical display.
Linear task flow. The user journey follows a strict sequence: browse, select, customize, confirm, pay. Each step occupies the full screen with clear progress indication, minimizing confusion about where the user is in the process.
Visual product hierarchy. Products are presented with large imagery and minimal text. Pricing, options, and add-ons are layered progressively so the screen never feels overloaded.
✅ Outcome
A kiosk interface that prioritizes speed and clarity for standing users in physical spaces. The design reduces decision friction through visual hierarchy, generous touch targets, and a linear flow that guides users from browsing to checkout without hesitation.
