CHALLENGE
To develop user persona documentations for Retink's collaboration project with Kujia.
PROBLEM STATEMENT
Tech Safari is a product that combines a holiday/ networking tour with an altruistic side, where a margin of the profit realized from the tour is used to mentor and train young people from under-privileged backgrounds in tech skills. There was no document to help better understand for whom we would be creating the product. There was no knowledge of what they needed and what the product would be doing for them.
HOW I HELPED
The first step was to analyze the group of people who would be using the product. It was essential to understand the similarities and differences of each of the product customer persona. I researched characteristics such as location, demographic, and career/business.
In building the persona I stuck only to the essential characteristics that were critical to our goal of understanding the customer's needs and pain points.
Putting all of this information together helped in understanding the primary consumers/ interest group of the product or service, their challenges, pain points, goals and needs.
