Our project aimed to redefine AI-driven video production, blending advanced technology with creative storytelling. We set out to craft a unique AI-generated character, Riddler Rhys, who could captivate audiences with riddles and tales. The challenge was to create something entirely AI-driven that still felt dynamic and engaging, rather than mechanical and uninspired. The journey of Riddler Rhys began with an idea: to create a video production entirely with AI, that is not dull 🫠

This concept posed several challenges. We needed to ensure that the AI-generated content did not feel repetitive or bland. To combat this, we focused on developing a character with depth and personality. Additional to that we picked a topic that intuitevely lights up curioisty and desire to 'learn more' - riddles! The creation process involved intensive collaboration with AI to develop the concept, name, and scripts for the videos. Our goal was to make every aspect of Rhys – from his riddles to his backstory – feel authentic and engaging.

Script and Concept Development: Leveraging ChatGPT, we developed the core idea, name, and scripts for Riddler Rhys.

Character Design: Midjourney was instrumental in creating Rhys’s visual persona, a colorful, ancient, and wise figure.

Voiceover: An AI tool was used to generate a voiceover with a specific English accent, adding realism to Rhys's character.

Facial Animation: D-ID technology animated Rhys's facial expressions, syncing perfectly with the AI-generated voiceover.

Photoshop, After Effects & Premiere Pro: Used to apply final touches and compile the full composition ot separate assets.

In post-production, we enhanced the visual appeal and storytelling atmosphere. Using Photoshop's generative fill, we expanded Rhys's background, allowing for dynamic camera movements. Further, in After Effects and Premiere Pro, we added realistic lighting and rain effects, complete with thunder and rain sounds. These elements were crucial in creating an immersive environment for Rhys's tales. A significant achievement of this project was establishing a scalable system for producing AI-generated videos that are not only technologically advanced but also deeply engaging and unique to each viewer.
