Kafaraka is the autobiographical story of the author, an Argentinian of Lebanese origins who moved to Italy. The novel narrates the various stages of the author's life, from childhood in a wealthy but frugal family in the Argentine province, to his education as a student, to the desire to forge ahead, to live intensely, achieving ever higher goals. Life changes almost by chance, reading about a selection for a scholarship in Italy. He arrives in the Bel Paese feeling like an astronaut on another planet, and is convinced that as an emigrant he always has something more to prove than others, managing to open his own path thanks to his strong motivation. Among the pages also emerges a cross-section of Argentine history and society in recent decades. The novel ends with a return to the origins, a journey to Lebanon to discover the places where it all began. He sees the beginning of his family's project, which took him all the way to Italy, in his grandfather's departure for Argentina, with the idea of ​​giving an education to his son, the author's father, who as a deputy he will manage to build a school in the small village of Fernandez.
