What is Lighthouse?

is currently the only desktop client application available for a fairly new database I strongly advocate for new software:

FaunaDB

. I built this tool from a need to more easily be able to manage databases across multiple accounts and regions. Aside from that, building this tool also gave me the opportunity to make it easy to create data views. This is actively a personal endeavor that is part of the suite of developer tools I am releasing this year under

My Involvement

This is another one of the applications I've developed completely on my own with most of the planning occurring in coffee shops following my flavor of methodologies I've come to learn in the startup industry that make it easier to identify what people would potentially find valuable to focus on. This particular tool is actively used for all of the projects where FaunaDB is used and is also used by the developers that work with me (shout out to their feedback).

The Results

Lighthouse is currently a silent release as there are still a few patches pending to be able to take it through the finish line. Ultimately, the effort for the build was just shy of a month and has since then given a lot of value to myself and members of my teams.
