Rive chameleon character rig with a state machine

A demo built for a specific brief. Not client work: the material shown is sample data, so what is on display is the mechanism.
I built a static demo of a placeholder minimalist chameleon for a desktop productivity app: 17 named vector components with pivots and a parent hierarchy (head carries eyes, jaw and tongue, each eye its own pupil and lid), written as a layered source SVG with one named group per component. 10 animations cover all seven core animations the brief lists (idle/breathing, blinking with independent eye movement, walking, noticing a distraction, tongue-grabbing a tab, closing the tab, celebrating) across three state-machine layers; the build asserts none of 22 keyed properties is keyed by two layers. The machine has 3 inputs, 11 ordered transitions with exit times, a 1D blend that aims both eyes at the tab, and tab_grabbed / tab_closed events for the app. A simulation in 10 ms steps of three episodes (far tab, near tab, user closes it first) plays all seven, grabs and closes 2 tabs, walks 401 px in total, and stands down once. The page plays that trace live with a pose sheet; the build exits non-zero, writing nothing, on any failure.
