Point-of-Need Diagnostics Device

During my time at QuantuMDx, we were able to drive the device from proof-of-principle instrument to VnV testing in accordance with ISO13485. I worked directly on the casing (DFM for injection moulding), loading mechanism and actuator plate (DFM for CNC milling, cost reduction, reliability improvements, component optimisation), optical modules (mechanical design and manufacture), QR code scanner and ‘status led’ assemblies (concept, mechanical design, and testing), heater stacks (performance improvements and DFM) as well as the thermal management system (mechanical design and component selection). While most of my colleagues were allocated to certain subsystems, I was moved to any of these subsystems whenever help was needed.
