Finding your true self, at the University of Salford.

For young adults, the prospect of University can be a daunting one. Anxiety, circumstances, outside pressures or a lack of self worth can become blocks, meaning they may not even consider university, let alone explore courses they could thrive in with the right support.
How to solve this problem?
The University of Salford's Business School wanted to reach out to those potential students, through animation, reassuring them of the support they can access, and of the safe place they are for all students.
They needed one, full animation (two minutes long) and various Meta snippets.
The aim of the animation was to encourage applicants to the Business School courses. It needed to be warm, welcoming, and quietly inspirational.
What did I do?
I wrote a script from the perspective of a successful student who started out feeling apprehensive, but found her place at Salford. The story focussed on her emotional journey and how she used the universities USPs to aid her in building confidence and achieving her goals. I provided art direction using my knowledge of campus and branding, and sourced a northern voice over artist to tell the story.
