Improving product education, and usability for a Neurotech app

Problem : According to Amplitude App data, a large number of users dropped off during onboarding, then after the first 5 uses, for a Novel Neurotech app that improves focus and relaxation via Neuroscientifically engineered music.
Actions : Performed a variety of tests (1-1 interviews, Contextual Inquiry, Mass Surveys, Usability Tests)
Outcomes : Discovered that users 1) did not know how to use the technology properly 2) needed more clarity on how the science works. Implemented design changes for onboarding process, among other useful discoveries for the product development.
