One of the main challenges facing the growth of renewable energy is the cost of storage. Renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind, are often intermittent, making it difficult to use them on a large scale. However, advances in storage technology, such as lithium-ion batteries, have made it possible to store large amounts of renewable energy, making it more viable as a source of power. Additionally, the energy grid infrastructure is not yet ready to handle the integration of large amounts of variable renewable energy sources. Solutions to this problem include upgrading the grid infrastructure and developing smart grid technology to better manage the integration of variable renewable energy sources.
