Vintage Engraving Label Design for an Artisan Food Brand
The Boozy Soup Co. is a four-label packaging system for an artisan soup brand with an unexpected spirits-led twist. The brief called for a refined, chef-led character rather than rustic or novelty packaging, combining Victorian apothecary cues, heritage food branding and hand-drawn engraving illustration.
I developed a shared 65 × 60 mm label architecture with a double ornamental frame, a black wordmark plaque and a clear hierarchy for the flavour name, product descriptor and spirit pairing. Each label has its own original engraved scene and accent colour while remaining part of one cohesive collection: Bull’s Blood, Autumn Squash, Broccoli Swiss Fondue and Mexican Fiesta Chicken.
The final system was prepared as scalable vector artwork with an editable master and separate wordmark assets.
The first label established the reusable packaging system before the remaining illustrations were developed. This kept the frame, typography and information hierarchy consistent while allowing every flavour to have a distinct visual character.
