Scented Candle Booking Website

Overview

The client wanted a website where customers could shop for scented candles online. A clean, minimal experience that highlights each product’s visual appeal while keeping the shopping and checkout process simple. Since the platform was to be developed on WordPress, my responsibility was to design a customizable template that the WordPress developer could easily adapt and build from.

Project Scope

Deliverables: Landing page design, product flow, UI components.
Number of Screens: 10+ screens
Tools: Figma
Platform: WordPress (Developer handoff)
Timeline: 4 days (inclusive of feedback time)

My Process

If you’ve followed my case studies for a while, you’ll know that iteration thrives in my work, and this project reflected that perfectly. I created several versions of the hero section, testimonial area, and other sections of the website, refining layout and hierarchy to find the right balance between storytelling and conversion.

For the product flow, my first instinct was to mirror the layout of the hero section but that approach distracted users from the actual checkout. After several revisions, I transitioned to a cleaner, focused layout that directed users toward the purchase flow, aligning with the main business goal: conversion.

Implementation Note

The only part I directly controlled was the template design and developer handoff. Once the templates were delivered, my design role officially ended. However, I stayed in touch to monitor implementation and though the final live version was a washed-down adaptation due to WordPress and developer constraints, the key structural elements and user flow remained consistent with the original vision.
