Exhibition Design: Josep Renau's Posters for Mexican Cinema

Design for an exhibition on the work of Spanish artist Josep Renau. The show focused on the posters he created for hundreds of films during the golden age of Mexican cinema.

Renau's artwork set the tone for the show's design: I took graphics from many of the posters and reassembled them into new compositions around the artist's portrait, paying homage to his visual language while turning him into the protagonist this time around.
