Founder of The Wellness Society, Rebecca Marks, had been working on a toolkit to help those struggling with stress, anxiety and other mental health difficulties. After securing funding from Jamma International, this toolkit was turned into a first book draft and an editor was required to tweak and polish its content.

Communication played a vital role in this project. Rebecca and I were in regular contact to discuss how the book was evolving, with weekly email roundups and edits sent.

The editing was done in Word, as per Rebecca's request, with track changes and summaries of the edits sent across.

Primary changes were general nuances, grammatical and format tweaks, ensuring the book flows without taking away Rebecca's voice.

The editing was finished after three weeks of work and regular communication.

The book is titled The Framework: Understanding, Transforming and Reducing Stress, Autostress and Anxiety (The Fluff-Free Guide) and was first available to purchase on Amazon and is now available to download for free from The Wellness Society.

This was project close to my own heart, whilst editing I was in the process of building my own mental health website and community, You, Me & Anxiety. It was therefore a privilege to work on a book that has gone on to help many people take control of their own lives and the ups and downs they regularly face.
