GENERAL PLOT OUTLINE:

EXPOSITION:

The billionaire heiress, Thalia Dankworth has been betrothed and engaged to Liam Knight, her fathers close friend and confidante, since she was a little girl. The engagement was her stepmother's idea, who was always looking for a way to get rid of her.

However, her fathers plans are changed as a new force comes into play in their city. The Smith's who were a major force to reckon with had started to extend their force to Seattle which is where Thalia lived with her parents. Thalia's father makes a deal with her, promising to give her the freedom she desired if she were to help him bring down the cold and infamous Lucas Smith who was also the head of the Smith's enterprises.

INCITING INCIDENT:

Thalia agrees with their plans, as her father promises to pay for her college. He arranges for her to be in New York where Lucas stays and to be present at the hotel where Lucas is staying for the night. However, on reaching there, she encounters an unfortunate event and is drugged and robbed of all her belongings.

With no money and nobody to turn to and no means of reaching her father, Thalia is forced to sign a deal with the devil's. She signs away the next three years of her life in exchange for the protection of the X-Club. While working for the X-Club, she is paid a meagre amount which she saves and keeps for when her contract with the club is over.

She chooses to work as a stripper and a bartender for the club as opposed to being a call girl, which involves being a prostitute and servicing various clients.

Due to the care shown to her, her colleagues at the club become jealous of her and set her up. They frame her, claiming she had stolen a huge amount of money from the club. The club owner is disappointed and is determined to make an example of her when she is saved by Lucas, the male lead of the story. Who proceeds to pay the amount stolen in exchange for her services.

Lucas strikes a deal with the club owner and takes Thalia away to work for him in one of his nightclubs. Thalia is beyond excited at the huge opportunity to get close to the man her father wanted to bring down. She decides to go along with him in order to gather enough information for her father.

RISING ACTION:

Thalia starts working for Lucas at one of his clubs. When she attempts to start stripping once more, Lucas blatantly refuses and opts to increase her pay. He eventually brings up a proposal to her. Where she is to become his mistress in exchange for her total freedom when their contract elapses.

Thalia refuses to give in, refusing to sell her dignity but after a lot of careful persuasion from Lucas, she eventually gives in and soon realises that she had feelings for the hotshot ruthless billionaire. However, Thalia eventually finds out that Lucas is engaged to the daughter of a business counterpart. When she attempts to leave him by running away, unable to bear the fact that he was in fact engaged to be married, Lucas captures her and brings her back, refusing to let her leave on the basis that their contract wasn't over.

Thalia is however kidnapped by his fiancée and tortured to almost an inch of her life after which she is released. The fiancée sets it up to look like Thalia had managed to escape from Lucas. Lucas demands payment from Thalia for reneging on their contract but not before blacklisting her from all clubs in the city, so she won't be able to find any work.

With no-one to turn to, Thalia is forced to return back to her hometown where she finds out that her stepmother, Isabel is dead and the truth about the fact that she was the sole heir to the billion-dollar fortune of the Dankworth’s family is exposed.

Thalia takes her rightful place as the CEO of Dankworth Enterprises, overthrowing her father. However, she eventually finds out that she's pregnant for Lucas and decides to reach out to him, she pays him the money she owed him for breaching their contract and still refuses to inform him of their baby.

However, after she gives birth to her baby girl, her company is forced to do some work with Lucas's company and he finds out about their baby. Thalia in a bid to protect herself from Lucas's persistence on being in the baby's life, decides to get married.

She chooses Alex Knight, the man she was once engaged to and starts making marriage preparations, however, she is kidnapped on her wedding day by Lucas and his men. Lucas forces her to get married to him, severing any contact she had with Alex. Thalia refuses to play the part of a happy wife and promises Lucas that irrespective of the position he put her in, she will never succumb to him.

CLIMAX:

Lucas's ex fiancée, Emily Fisher teams up with their baby's nanny as well as Lucas's brother who has always been jealous of him They kidnap the baby and proceed to use her to threaten Thalia. They orders Thalia to expose certain dark details about Lucas's work which makes it look like Thalia had betrayed him.

Lucas however, becomes suspicious of Thalia's behaviour and instead of punishing her for her betrayal, looks into why she acted that way and realises that she was being blackmailed.

DENOUEMENT:

Lucas rescues their baby, and then proceeds to punish both his brother and Emily as well as the Nanny. After the exposure of their evil plans, Thalia expresses her gratitude to Lucas and eventually confesses her love to him. Thalia forgives Lucas and her relationship with him although not without its ups and downs was one in a million. Their love for each other triumphed over all adversities.
