Luxlet is a luxury car rental and e-hailing platform connecting clients seeking premium transportation with fleet owners who manage high-end vehicles. The platform consists of two apps working as one ecosystem, a client app for discovering and booking luxury vehicles, and a fleet app for vehicle owners to manage bookings, vehicles, and earnings.

In Nigeria, renting a luxury vehicle typically meant going through several bureaucratic steps and background checks, making the process a hassle for people who simply wanted access to a luxury vehicle for a ride or for the day. Luxury vehicle owners, meanwhile, had no dedicated platform to list their vehicles and receive verified bookings. Luxlet closes that gap, giving clients an easy way to book verified, authentic luxury vehicles and providing Luxury vehicle owners a platform to get bookings.

As the founding product designer, I designed both the client and fleet experiences to work as one connected system, so a booking made on one side flows smoothly into the accept-or-decline decision on the other. Trust and verification were treated as core to the product, shaping both the sign-up flow for vehicle owners and the overall booking experience for clients.

Clients can book a pickup-and-drop-off ride, where they're picked up and taken to a destination, or an all-day rental, where they keep the vehicle for an extended period with a set return time. Bookings can be made instantly for immediate pickup or scheduled in advance, and clients booking pickup-and-drop-off can add extra stops or book across multiple days with specified dates and times, giving flexibility for both single trips and recurring needs.

Clients can choose to add police escorts to their booking at an additional cost, a detail specific to the security concerns around visibly high-value vehicles in the local context.

After selecting a vehicle, clients reach a summary screen showing the full booking fee, which they can edit before confirming and paying, so there are no surprises at checkout.

Beyond basic sign-up, fleet owners go through a three-step verification process, uploading a profile image, location and residential details, and a government-issued ID, all reviewed and verified by Luxlet. This gives clients confidence that the vehicles and owners they're booking are genuine.

Owners can accept or decline booking requests after reviewing the booking details, track a vehicle once a trip is underway, and toggle whether a vehicle appears in the client app at all, giving them full control over when their vehicle is available.

The design was completed, and usability testing conducted to confirm that clients and fleet owners could move through booking, verification, and vehicle management without confusion. The completed designs were then handed off for development.
