The Laforja project was focused on the renovation of a residential building facade in the heart of Barcelona. My role was to support architect Carlos Esteve with high-quality 3D visualizations that allowed him to test and refine the design before presenting it to the final client.

The main challenge was to provide accurate and realistic previews of different facade design options, ensuring that decisions on materials, colors, and structure could be validated before construction. These visuals needed to seamlessly integrate with the existing urban context to highlight the impact of each design choice.

I developed a series of preliminary renders that explored multiple design variations, from simplified white-box models to detailed materialized facades. This step-by-step process allowed the architect to visualize how the renovation would harmonize with the surrounding buildings while also experimenting with structural and aesthetic adjustments.

Using 3D modeling and rendering tools, I created both neutral and photorealistic versions of the facade:

White massing renders to evaluate proportions and overall impact.

Materialized renders showcasing brick, plaster, wood, and metallic finishes.

Final polished renders integrating the facade with the real street environment.

The preliminary renders helped Carlos Esteve refine his proposal and adjust design details before presenting it to the client. This accelerated decision-making, reduced the risk of misinterpretation, and provided a clear visual narrative of how the building would evolve within its urban setting.
