Sailia is a platform made specially for experience business. With more than 12 features available to scale more then 6 types of industries like water sports, events and others activities.
We had two main challenges in the Sailia project, structural and visual. First, we needed to define the sections for each page based on what George had already outlined. After completing that, we moved on to the Home page.
On the Home page, our goal was to create a strong brand name presentation that felt unique while also explaining the app clearly. This was where the visual challenge appeared, since the web app and the brand book had a few differences between them.
After many tests changing background colors, component styles and animations, we finally established a final style for the Home. From that point, we moved on to designing the rest of the website.
When we finished the website, we faced a misunderstanding regarding the Features page. I thought it would be an index, but George had requested that each of the 12 features should have its own internal page.
My team and I discovered this with only three days left before the deadline. To honor our commitment, we worked four nights in a row to design, build and apply the components to all the internal pages in a way that still told the right storytelling and convinced the client who would review it.
In the end, it was a challenging project with many lessons learned, and we already miss working on it. Grateful to George for his incredible patience and temperance, and to Arthur, Emanuelly and Vycki for their huge help on the website.
