Challenge

We were a UK agency specialising in used‑car websites via a proprietary CMS.
Audi/Volkswagen wanted to launch an Approved Used programme in the Middle East and we pitched ourselves as “multi‑country ready,” but in reality, the platform wasn’t.
To win and keep the contract, we had to overhaul CMS/back‑office in weeks not months, while creating a premium UX for a market where new cars = status.
Failure to deliver would have cost the RFP and the agency’s chance to expand into a high‑value region.

Approach

Ran international workshops with stakeholders/customers in UK, Germany, and ME.
Re‑architected for multi‑location stock, multi‑currency, RTL layouts, and new third‑party APIs (insurance, finance, stock feeds).
Orchestrated parallel sprints so marketing, design, dev, and translation progressed before dependencies existed.
Pivoted UX from cost‑driven “used” to a guided, luxury buying journey aligned with Audi/VW brand.
Designed CI‑compliant components for scalability and governance.
