Have you ever seen a heart shape out of nowhere, and this sense of tranquillity overwhelmed you just before trying to fight off the anxiety that was getting worse?
Then a piece of leftover cookie, paper, or some spills from your water bottle forms a perfect heart shape on the floor.
It's as if the universe is reminding you to find peace amidst the chaos, urging you to take a moment and embrace the calmness that surrounds you. The sight of that unexpected heart shape brings a soothing reassurance, allowing you to momentarily forget about your worries and focus on the beauty of the present moment.
It's a gentle reminder that we are not alone in our journey and that there is a higher power guiding us through life's ups and downs.
This unexpected symbol of love and protection brings a sense of comfort, reminding us to trust in the divine plan and find solace in the knowledge that we are being looked after.
How can we strengthen our faith when it feels weak?
By accepting our mistakes and learning from them, we can grow and become better individuals. It is through this process of self-improvement that we can find inner peace and live a fulfilling life.
Embracing the lessons learned from our errors allows us to move forward with confidence, knowing that we can overcome any obstacles that come our way.
Theologically, assurance means having confidence in God that our prayers were heard or simply being confident that God will respond to them.
But God always wants us to have full assurance, be completely confident in him, and undoubtedly be sure of His unchanging purpose, which is to bless us.
Hebrews 6:17 essays: In this way, God resolves to show even more clearly to the heirs of promise the unchanging blessing of His purpose, confirming it by an oath.
And when God takes an oath, putting himself on the line to fulfil the promise, He is guaranteed to fulfil it. Jesus Christ is the truth; He is the guarantee that the promise God made to us is fulfilled. So, we can be assured of the blessing of God forever.
We are blessed that He promises and assures us of salvation, answered prayers, victory, guidance, and forgiveness. He promises never to leave or forsake us. Isaiah 41:10 says, Do not fear, for I am with you.
Do not look around, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will also help you; and I will also uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.
Each time I randomly see hearts, I am assured of His inevitable presence. He is with me; He can never leave or forsake me. Despite my imperfections and flaws, He loves me.
God's love for us
2 Corinthians 12:9 says, But he said to me, ‘My grace is enough for you, for my power is perfected in weakness.
In the same chapter, we see Paul pleading with God to remove a thorn in his flesh; the thorn here is some form of weakness. He struggles with it, as we all do, but God uses it for his benefit.
He holds Satan responsible for the pain he is going through, not God. God is allowing it to happen, but all this suffering is not in vain. Because God turns his weaknesses into something good.
Paul's weakness teaches us a powerful lesson that we all need today. That if you have everything and lack Jesus in your life, you have nothing. The reality of life is that we all have a thorn in our flesh, which is our weakness.
There are various types of weaknesses that one may have, such as:
Academic weaknesses: These weaknesses relate to academic work.
Professional weaknesses: These weaknesses relate to the day-to-day jobs or professions we do.
Moral weaknesses: This refers to acting against Christian beliefs by doing something one should not do.
Let's examine some moral weaknesses that some individuals who identify as Christians may exhibit. Some Christians may struggle with feelings of vengeance, which can lead them to desire to retaliate when wronged. However, it's important to note that this behaviour goes against teachings in both Matthew 5:38 and Exodus 21:24.
Some people have an unforgiving nature; such a moral weakness gives room to bitterness and anger in their hearts towards those who have wronged them (Matthew 6:15).
Some Christians can quickly tell lies and blame others, especially when they want to cover up shameful acts or are too scared to face punishment (Matthew 18:15–17).
Some Christians are very jealous. This weakness makes them resent others due to their prosperity or breakthroughs, which only results in their lives deteriorating (Psalms 37:1-2).
Some people are easily offended. Insignificant issues can hurt or annoy them, resulting in hatred (Proverbs 10:12).
Some Christians are self-centred and selfish. (Philippians 2:3, 1 Corinthians 10:24)
Many Christians struggle with confidence in speaking about Jesus and portraying Christian qualities, leading to embarrassment about their faith. (2 Timothy 1:8)
There are Christians who opt to not participate in anything related to their faith or church. They may do so out of fear of being judged or ostracized, particularly in social situations or at work. This emotional detachment is a vulnerability.
Laziness is the worst kind of weakness Christians deal with, and it affects their relationship with God in a big way.
Some other weaknesses Christians suffer from are greed, pride, intolerance, and impatience because of their class, financial capabilities, education, or social status. Such weaknesses caused Judas Iscariot to fall and not be regarded as a disciple of Jesus.
These weaknesses tend to draw us to focus more on the ups and downs in our lives than on God’s grace, which is always enough for us. I believe that when I see hearts, God says, ‘ My grace is enough for you; you need nothing more than Jesus.
Everything is Jesus plus nothing.
When we shift our focus away from our weaknesses and look to God, that weakness becomes strength.
How can we overcome our weaknesses biblically and be successful?
By seeking help from God through prayers
Know that forgiveness of our sins is to help with weakness.
Set your plans, obey, and think in a new and different way.
Have a positive mindset about not giving up.
In conclusion, we will all, in one way or another, encounter difficulties in life. We are driven to seek the will of the Lord in all things. If we are not seeking His will, then we are seeking our own will.
Seeking God's will and relying on His strength is the key to overcoming our weaknesses and finding success. It requires surrendering our desires and trusting in His guidance.
By doing so, we can tap into His unlimited power and find the strength to persevere through any challenge that comes our way.
